Whether you’re spending your summer celebrating the euros, dancing at a festival or just soaking up any sun we have the perfect guide for this summer season. This summer it's all about soft colours and loose silhouettes, the return of trends from last summer means that there’s no need to splash out on a new wardrobe. Try heading to a local charity shop (we love Fara in Islington, London), browse second-hand websites like Vinted or even restyle clothing you already own.
Shorts
It seems the uncomfortable days of denim shorts are over with summer styles looking towards boxer shorts, bloomers or hot pants. These comfortable, chic bottoms can be paired with big oversized tees and sleek sunglasses for the optimal cool girl summer look. Gingham boxer shorts are especially trending, a simple way to add a pop of colour and pattern into your outfits - perfect for strolling the streets of a hot European city or hitting the pub gardens. Keep an eye on the brand Speltham, famous for their comfortable, handmade boxer shorts - their staple, sustainable shorts were recently featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan.

Maxi Skirts
Similar to last year maxi skirts are a statement piece to own this year and a great way to re-wear last years summer wardrobe. No need to indulge in fast fashion, charity shops or second-hand sellers are sure to have the perfect maxi skirt for you. Whether it’s a flowing white linen skirt or a pop of colour or pattern there’s something for everyone, we especially adore a leopard print midi skirt.
Rugby Shirts
Despite it being the summer of the Euro’s it seems that it is rugby polo shirts that will be seen across pub gardens. This summer is all about prioritising comfort without losing style and these rugby shirts prove it. Whether you’re supporting your favourite team or just picking a shirt with pretty colours rugby polos are easy to get ahold of. Fashion icons Hailey Bieber and Rhianna have both been seen recently sporting a rugby polo and we just cant get enough.

Linens
It is time to deep dive through your dads wardrobe for the perfect oversized shirt. Perfect for lounging by the pool or dressing up for dinner and cocktails, the linen shirt has been a must have for a few summers now and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. However shirts are not the only linen we’re seeing this summer, linen trousers are also a staple for this summer especially pin stripes. Definitely check out Big Little Linens, a brand which featured in our last issue and one not to miss this summer.
Denim on Denim
In true 90’s fashion denim on denim is back! Whether it is jeans and jackets or tops and skirts the possibilities are endless and this summer a chic take on this classic 90’s style is a big hit. There are so many ways to incorporate denim into outfits and we are excited to see the outfits that this summer produces. Denim corset tops and waistcoats are a stylish way to pair denim with denim in a subtle way.
Colourful Sneakers
To add a pop of colour to any outfit this summer all focus is on shoes. Bright, comfortable shoes should be your go to's this summer, and we cant help but recommend the Adidas Gazelle Bold's. Their endless collection of bold colours will elevate any outfit and their colour combos are to die for. So many shoe brands are taking the plunge into bold colours, check out the latest Nike, New Balance and Adidas trainers to find your personal favourite style. Of course we cannot forget about the Adidas Sambas, from popstars like Harry Styles to models like Kate Moss the classic shoe of the summer will be sure to make an appearance in outfits across the UK this summer.

Soft Colours
Though red is still a statement colour for this year, the summer catwalks seemed to have a softer colour scheme. Pastel blues and soft yellows were spotted across numerous catwalks. The bold colours we loved over winter are taking a backseat for now with British Vogue claiming this is the summer of ‘discreet chic’. Easy to pair with chunky jewellery, chic sunglasses and a matching bag to pull the whole look together.
It is the summer of chic and colourful comfort, the perfect time to restyle those trends from last year. Flowy skirts, chic sunglasses, and bright shoes will pull all your outfits together to make sure no head goes unturned no matter the summer occasion.
